Help me get a mortgage
Published 18th February 2020
If you need help with getting a mortgage then you’re not alone! We speak to hundreds of potential borrowers each week that have either struggled to find a lender or just want some guidance on where to start.
As every situation is different and often unique, the right advice for one customer might not be right for another. As such we aim to write and support as many people as possible and help with mortgages of all types, for all types of people. Browse our pages or make an enquiry if you want help and a mortgage specialist will be able to take care of everything for you.
The main areas are on our navigation menu where you can find mortgage help tailored to the type of borrower you are. For instance, if you are self-employed, have adverse credit, or you're perhaps looking to do something completely unique – we have scores of articles packed with info to help you whatever your situation.
Need a mortgage right away?
If you need the mortgage now or within the next 3 months then make an enquiry and one of the experts will be in touch. We also have an express service for those urgent cases as we know many borrowers have been let down elsewhere and need the finance yesterday!
Thinking about getting a mortgage in the near future?
If you’re not yet ready to buy a property or remortgage but are thinking about what’s possible and want to know your options, we can still help. We usually recommend getting the mortgage approved within 3 months of purchase/remortgage as this is generally the maximum time a mortgage approval will be valid for, however we know many of our visitors need specialist mortgage help and aren’t sure if they are eligible, and don’t want to go to the trouble of finding a property until they have a mortgage approved. If you want help to get a mortgage approved before finding the right property, the advisors will still be happy to help.
Most of the key info and answers to common questions are available on the site for you to read, for example what you need to do; how much you need to save for deposit; what you can borrow; what adverse credit is acceptable; what income is acceptable etc. If you can’t find the info here then get in touch.
