How we got Tamsin's mortgage approved!

Sadly, I’m sure lots of other people have experienced a similar thing to me. My siblings and I inherited our family home when my mother passed away, leaving us with two choices: sell our home to repay the mortgage or find a way to get finance so we could keep it.

I’ve never owned a house before, so not really knowing where to start we went straight to the high street and to the bank my mother had her mortgage with. My brother & I both have some tiny defaults from our university days that have affected our credit reports in the past, but didn’t think these would be too much of an issue for the lender.

The house to this day is still occupied by my twin brother and my little sister also lives there when she isn’t at university.
