Mike Whitehead

Mike’s key responsibility for Online Mortgage Advisor is as custodian of the content which appears on the website and across all other marketing channels the business engages in.

Using his knowledge of financial services – more specifically, the mortgage market – he is able to research and then curate relevant, insightful topics designed to match the intent of every visitor to our website. He also collaborates regularly with the mortgage brokers we work with to ensure the content we produce is always accurate, up-to-date and simple to understand.

Mike has also worked closely with our developers and designers to create a suite of online tools to compliment the website content.

Career Background

Following a successful twelve-year career in the financial services industry, working for HSBC Bank – in the U.K and across a number of international jurisdictions (mainly Europe and The Middle East) – Mike became a freelance writer and content editor in 2012.

He has contributed numerous articles and long-form essays for both national and regional publications across a wide variety of topics; financial services, technology, sport, travel, politics, business, economics and social media.

Mike is also a published author of the Amazon best-selling series of books – The Golf Lover’s Guide To Scotland (2019) and England (2020) with further editions for both Wales and Ireland to follow.

Financial Planning Certificate – Chartered Insurance Institute.
