The Centre for Economics & Business Research has predicted that by the end of the year the average property in London will reach £466,000 – a 16.1% increase! Elsewhere in the UK, a more modest rise of 6.9% is expected, with 5.1% the following year by the end of 2015.

The think tank also projected figures towards 2018, indicating that property value increases are likely to slow further, at 3.4% over that year, suggesting that investors may well be best to get in quick to maximise their returns.
